Meeting in Brussels, April 2025

From 1 – 2 April 2025, the ChemSkills consortium met once again in Brussels for a two-day meeting packed with collaboration, insights, and planning.

Hosted by the European Plastics Converters (EuPC), the meeting brought together partners from across Europe to reflect on the project’s progress and align on the next steps in building a sustainable, future-ready chemical workforce.

Over the course of two days, we covered a lot of ground:

🔹 Sectoral skills intelligence – led by VSB – Technical University of Ostrava
🔹 Training development and delivery – presented by the University of Twente
🔹 Impact and dissemination – shared by NEWTON University
🔹 Work Package sessions – including updates from the plastics, consumer chemicals, rubber, fertilisers, pharmaceuticals, and petrochemicals sectors

There was also plenty of space for open discussion and exchange, including reflections on project coordination, future planning, and partner feedback.

Thanks to all who joined us in Brussels and contributed to two productive days. Meetings like this are essential to keep our shared momentum going as we shape the skills and qualifications needed for a greener, more digital chemical sector.
